I'm still a young guy, and some of the contemporary and gospel music is not my style. There is a lot of music out there that carries God's message that I really enjoy. Switchfoot, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Casting Crowns are some great bands. Kids tend to rebel against anything their parents like. It must be human nature. If I were in your shoes for instance, and my parents played rap music or classical music I would have the same reaction as you. It is a matter of taste.
